Huawei K-E and K-Solar Ink MoU to Accelerate Smart Energy Solutions in Pakistan

SHENZHEN / KARACHI, June 2025: In a significant move towards advancing Pakistan’s clean energy transition, K-Electric and K-Solar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies at Huawei’s global headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

The partnership aims to fast-track the deployment of smart energy solutions, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and microgrid technologies across Pakistan.

The MoU underscores a shared commitment to driving innovation in Pakistan’s power sector, aligning with national sustainability goals and global climate action frameworks.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Kevin Jin Yu, Managing Director of Huawei Pakistan, stated:
“Together, we aim to co-create scalable and secure energy systems that will contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s green transformation. This collaboration represents a major step in building a smarter, more resilient energy future.”

This trilateral partnership is expected to leverage Huawei’s cutting-edge digital and energy technologies, while K-Electric and K-Solar will provide on-ground integration, network expertise, and operational leadership.

The agreement also reflects Huawei’s growing role in South Asia’s renewable energy ecosystem, promoting cleaner, more reliable, and digitally advanced power infrastructure solutions.
